Circulate Salve
Circulate Salve is designed to increase circulation, especially for bruises, muscle strains, soreness, and stubborn injuries. It is a modification of the modern Chinese topical formula, Huo Xue San (Translation: Invigorate the Blood Powder), which promotes circulation and breaks up stagnation. Best used before exercise to warm muscles and joints, post exercise to soothe pain and soreness, or old nagging injuries.

Circulate Salve employs herbs that regulate and invigorate qi and blood at both the superficial and deep levels. The herb, ai ye (mugwort), provides warming, soothing, and deeply penetrating qualities to the formula. Once initial swelling and inflammation has subsided, this formula is helpful for soothing discomfort related to sore muscles, bruising or other fixed and sharp pains that are often intensified with pressure.
